Mark Benning is the CEO of Founderly.co. He is an experienced entrepreneur who founded and led four investor-backed, software startups in Silicon Valley, California over a 20-year period. In addition to managing strategy, business development, and finance, Mark raised over $100 million in venture funding for his startups and others he advised.

Over the years, he has worked for several private equity and venture capital firms. Currently, Mark is the Managing Partner of Excelsior.vc, a Canadian venture capital firm. Previously, he founded and led Sprout Fund and Sprout Fund II. He has been an Executive Advisor and Consultant with the Business Development Bank of Canada. Mark is also a CTI-trained executive coach and a VMS startup mentor.

Mark has a AB in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University, where he focused on venture investing and entrepreneurial leadership. He also studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. Between his time at Harvard and Stanford, he played professional ice hockey in Europe and traveled extensively throughout the world.

Mark now enjoys sharing his knowledge, experience, and network with other business leaders to help grow their companies into profitable and successful businesses.
